materialism is a big no no but creative tools are nice. Im no photographer, im some guy who got a little too carried away with the ol' ebay time arbitrage.
Sony a7ii/A7cr
Its decent, albiet a little old at this point. I use mostly manual vintage lenses so the autofocusing doesnt really matter to me
summer 2024 update- I now use the an a7cr I got for a wicked good deal
Canon Powershot A1000is
10mp. Love this thing. The focusing gets really soft around the edges randomly sometimes and it makes a really cool effect. Also the image quality is just high key pretty good, and at times rivals what I can do on the a7ii, but thats mostly because im just a bad photographer.
Update: this thing is dead after I tried to put a fisheye on the front of it to shoot skate clips
Kiron 28-105mm f/3.2-4.5 (1983)
Objectivkley a piece of shit kit lens but my grandpa gave it to me with his ae-1 and its the only lens I had for a hot minute so. It can get reasonably sharp, although only really in the center

Tokina 28mm f/2.8 (1983)
Diabolical coincidence that this lens also came out in 1983. Recent purchase as of the time of writing, but probably going to be my most used lens.
Price: 15$
Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 (1979)
Lotta haze on this one. Gotta up the contrast a ton in post.
Price: 22$
Tokina at-x 100-300mm f/4 (1986)
Got this bad boy on a crazy deal because of a smudge on the inside of the front element. Excellent optical and build quality, probably the most objectivley decent thing I own
price: 15$
Vivitar Series 1 70-210 f/3.5 (1973)
useful only for its macro mode. this thing is HEAVY
price: 20$
Tamron 28-200 f/2.8-5.6 (2020)
The only auto focusing lens I own. Solid piece of gear, just hard to justify the cost compared to everything else I own. I dont use it as much as I wish I did as I prefer the character of the other stuff + the a7ii tends to overexpose everything with this thing when its on auto. The only scenario in which i really use this lens is when I want full auto because im in a rush or otherwise do not have time to dial in the settings
price: 700$
3x telephoto
slapped it on the tokina zoom at a houseparty, shot the moon in elliotts backyard. 10/10 memory
